After being surprised in front of his entire school community with a Milken Educator Award, Rogers Ranch Principal Timothy Thomas calls his wife, also an educator at another local school, to share the good news with her. To underscore the significance of her husband's award, Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, explains to Thomas' wife that this national recognition comes with $25,000, an unrestricted prize they will be able to use it however they choose.
