The Lowell Milken Center for Unsung Heroes (LMC) celebrated its 15th Anniversary in tandem with the Grand Opening of Lowell Milken Park in Fort Scott, Kansas. The three day event welcomed 200 guests for VIP speeches, a surprise award presentation, and a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new park. Guests also had the opportunity to meet living Unsung Heroes and their families who were in attendance, such as Carl Wilkens and the family members of Chester Nez, Andrew Jackson Higgins, and Gene Shoemaker.
