Redact, Rewrite, Reframe is an exhibition that presents work by a selection of artists and designers utilizing images and materials from news media in distinctive ways, emphasizing global sociopolitical events of the past two decades. Considering the ongoing debates surrounding the subjectivity of the news, it presents a timely opportunity to explore our current moment of an increasingly divided public. Skillfully using media informed by graphic design, typography, collage, painting, and photography, the artists and designers examine the ideological nature of the news, speaking to the present moment while also recalling diverse 20th-century avant-garde movements, such as Dada, Situationism, and The Pictures Generation.

Redact, Rewrite, Reframe features work by York Chang, Steve Hurd, Simon Johnston, Gloria Kondrup, Paula Scher, Rich Silverstein, Samira Yamin, and Jemima Wyman.

Presented as two concurrent installations at ArtCenter College of Design, Redact, Rewrite, Reframe is a collaborative exhibition and occupies both the Hutto-Patterson Exhibition Hall and the Hoffmitz Milken Center for Typography (HMCT) South Campus Gallery and Showcases.
