National Teacher Appreciation Day was especially memorable at Mathis Elementary in Las Vegas, NV, with a visit from Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak and Superintendent of Public Instruction Jhone Ebert, and special guest, Lowell Milken, founder of the Milken Educator Awards, who surprised music teacher Ali Jun with a $25,000 Nevada Milken Educator Award.
